We are proud to receive competitive funding for general operations from the Tennessee Arts Commission, outreach support from the City of Kingsport, and we enjoy long-time partnerships with businesses of all sizes in our region. As a 501-c-3 we depend on these partnerships for our growth and sustainability. We hold a gold seal of transparency with Guidestar, the premier non-profit vetting agency.

High-Quality Classical Ballet Instruction
Our students come from all over the Tri-Cities, many of them commuting from up to 90 miles away to receive the best instruction in the region. When students graduate from our program, they take with them not only memories of a second family which will last a lifetime, but also a wealth of knowledge that will put them on par with students from conservatories in most parts of the world.
Professional-Level, Full-Length Productions
We take great pride in presenting a professional product. We especially value holding both our faculty and our students to these high standards. Our output is intentional, and nothing is left to chance. Our productions are professional, full-length, and staged after the great world theaters such as the Bolshoi and Kirov Ballets. We are proud of what we offer our East Tennessee audiences.
Enhancing the Arts in Northeast Tennessee
Kingsport Ballet is proud to contribute to growing the arts in our region - from East Tennessee to Virginia and North and South Carolina! With the help of our generous sponsors and grants awarded through Tennessee Arts Commission and outreach from the City of Kingsport, we can offer scholarships to students in need, which in turn helps us make the arts accessible for all!

Our Facility
Our facility is located in the heart of downtown Kingsport, Tennessee. It features 4 studios with sprung floors, spacious, family-friendly waiting areas, an art gallery featuring local artists, and a boutique providing dance attire and gifts. Our historic building was once home to the Dixie-Maid Baking Company.
Kingsport Ballet is featured on the website The Dancer’s List as one of many studios around the world open to dancers who might find themselves in our area looking for a welcoming studio environment.
The KB studio facility also sublets small studio space to local family-services, such as videography, music lessons and family therapy.
KB Boutique
KB Boutique is our in-house shop featuring everything you need for your ballet journey. From shoes and tights, to uniform leotards and beautiful fashion leotards, we carry many quality brands to outfit your ballet student head to toe.
In addition, you will also find dance equipment such as dance bags, warmup booties, foam rollers, and more.
We carry a variety of gifts like local art, jewelry, small keepsakes, toys and decor, gift wrap, and other ballet-inspired gifts that will bring joy to any dance enthusiast.
