Recently at Kingsport Ballet's 20th Anniversary Gala Performance State Representitive Tony Shipley honored Kingsport Ballet with a House Resolution recognizing 20 years of dance excellence. The certificate may be seen at the Kingsport Ballet Studios. It is a great honor and Kingsport Ballet and its artistic staff look forward to serving the Tri-Cities community another 20 years!

As part of the Kingsport Big Read event, Kingsport Ballet will be performing an original piece of contemporary dance based on the Adventures of Tom Sawyer! The performance will be performed at the Kingsport Public Library on Monday, April 12th @ 6:30 pm. Join us for this exciting event! The Kingsport Big Read site is up and running and Kingsport Ballet is proud to support their efforts as an affiliate partner....so go and check it out! The Big Read is an initiative of the National Endowment for the Arts, designed to restore reading to the center of American culture. The NEA presents The Big Read in partnership with the Institute of Museum and Library Services and in cooperation with Arts Midwest. The Big Read brings together partners across the country to encourage reading for pleasure and enlightenment.

The Romantic Collection of Ballets was a success and we wish to thank our patrons for coming and supporting our talented dancers and professionals! Three beautiful pieces including Chopiniana, The Imperial Waltz, and Paquita were performed. Some early pictures from Dress rehersal may be seen in this gallery!
