Oleksandr Vykhrest hails from the Ukraine, studied classical ballet and graduated from the Ballet Academy of Ukraine in 2001. From 2001 through 2002, he was a soloist dancer with Classical Ballet of Kiev under the direction of Valeriy Koftun. His principal roles include La Bayadere, Giselle, Swan Lake, and Romeo and Juliet. In 2002 he joined Donetsk Ballet Company under the direction of Vadim Pisarev. While with the Donetsk Ballet Company, he toured in Japan, United States, China, Greece, Bulgaria, and Levon. His principal roles include The Sleeping Beauty, The Nutcracker, Chipolina, Per Gunt, Don Quixote and Spartacus. Mr. Vykhrest was a guest artist with the Terada Ballet Art School in Kyoto, Japan, the Ochy Ballet Art School in Japan, New Jersey Ballet Academy, and Baltimore Ballet School. In 2002, 2003, and 2004, he was an artist in the International Festival “Stars of the World Ballet”. Oleksandr joined Sarasota Ballet of Florida in 2005 as a soloist, and Columbia Classical Ballet in 2009 as a principal. He has danced Soloist roles in Robert de Warren’s Midsummer Night’s Dream, Carmina Burana, Catasan, La Buetic Fantastic, Firebird, Othello, The Nutcracker and Coppelia. He has been a guest dancer with Russian Academy of Ballet in Orlando, Florida as well as Ohio School of Ballet, and has guest performed with Kingsport Ballet in productions of The Sleeping Beauty, Swan Lake and Don Quixote.
