Kingsport Ballet is a non-profit school and company celebrating its 30th anniversary with the re-staging of The Sleeping Beauty in April 2013 at Eastman Auditorium. The organization provides professional instruction and performance opportunities of excellence throughout the region. Students come from up to 90 miles away to study at the school. Artistic Director, Valeria Sinyavskaya, has brought her extensive international performing and directing experience to the area. During her ten-year tenure she has been instrumental in staging world-renowned ballet classics such as Swan Lake, Giselle and Don Quixote among others. Community partnerships, award-winning outreach programs, and the organization’s arts center in downtown Kingsport round out this unique organization as a premier arts provider in the southeast.
