Ms. Dew secured a National Endowment for the Arts grant for the outreach program in 2006. She recently implemented Project Move 1 & 2, a program that provides free fitness and wellness education to at-risk youth in the community as well as to curriculum dance students. In 2010 she led the renovation of Kingsport Ballet’s new 15,000 square foot facility, which includes five spacious dance studios, an art gallery, an arts wing offering instruction in various musical instruments, and a fitness and wellness lounge providing physical therapy and other wellness services. Ms. Dew received the Arts Council of Greater Kingsport’s Arts Leadership award in 2010, the Tennessee Association of Dance award in Dance Advocacy in 2011, and a YWCA Tribute to Women award for Volunteerism in 2012.
