2009-2010 Senior Company

Kaitlyn Bass is a student at East Tennessee State University. She has been studying ballet for seventeen years and has been a member of the Kingsport Ballet Company for eight years. She has performed in Kingsport Ballet’s productions of The Nutcracker, Swan Lake, The Sleeping Beauty, Platinum Celebration and Giselle. She has attended summer intensive workshops at Bossov Ballet, Kingsport Ballet, The Sarasota Ballet of Florida, and Tennessee Association of Dance. In April of 2007, Kaitlyn traveled to St. Petersburg, Russia, with Bossov Ballet, to participate in the International Dance Open where she took master classes with renowned Russian dancers, teachers, and choreographers. She has studied with Valeria Sinyavskaya, Rostislav Dzabraev, Erika Ballard, Andrei Bossov and Natalya Getman. Kaitlyn plans to transfer to University of Memphis to study Arabic, Italian and Russian.

Erica Dew has been a student at Kingsport Ballet for 13 years, and a company member for seven years. She received her primary ballet training from artistic director Valeria Sinyavskaya and partnering instruction from Rostislav Dzabraev. She has attended summer intensives at the Kirov Ballet Academy in Washington, D.C. where she studied under Jacqueline Akhmedova and Vladimir Djouloukhadze, among others. Erica has also participated in yearly summer intensives at Kingsport Ballet where she was taught by Irina Ushakova, Vladimir Angelov, Giana Jigarhan, Sergei Gorbatov, Zina Mamedova- Kohoutova, Erika Ballard, Becky Hall, Tonya Harris, Nina Maria Lucas and Tina Yarborough Liggins. Erica has also attended yearly Tennessee Association of Dance workshops. She has performed in Swan Lake, The Sleeping Beauty, Giselle, Les Sylphides, Paquita, and yearly productions of The Nutcracker. Erica is a high school senior and in addition to dance she loves to sing, enjoys travel and photography.
