The Company - Dancers

Our Company members are primarily students ages 10-18. They audition for acceptance into Company and are required to take a minimum of three 1.5 hour ballet classes per week in addition to Saturday Company class, as well as participate in our productions. Company dancers are required to also take an additional form of dance, such as modern or jazz, and to participate in a quality summer intensive for a minimum of two weeks. Our Company dancers typically attend Kingsport Ballet’s summer intensive, while many of them also attend additional workshops such as Kirov Academy of Ballet, American Ballet Theatre, UNCSA, Alvin Ailey, Nutmeg Conservatory, among others.
